Barbie goes to Washington...

My weakness: Shoes!
Simply put, shoes are glorious pieces of art. No matter what I’m shopping for I always get distracted by their beauty and the huge variety out there. I was obsessed with ObviLux before, but the updates have brought it to a whole new level. I must second Demoni’s excitement about the Style Sets; I’ve seen similar ideas on other sites but they were often in collage form with various backgrounds and wording, which made it difficult to see the outfit. It also takes a lot of time to find all those pictures of lipstick smears and bunches...

The New ObviLux is ready!
Luxers, you have no idea how excited I am right now. ObviLux’s Alpha has launched! It’s better than ever. My favorite new feature is they style sets option, which allows you to put together whole looks and outfits and save them. It’s like a virtual closet! Here’s the look that I just put together:

Well, I suppose it’s June, so there have been flowers around for a while. They’re still inspiring, though, and there’s nothing that says summer more than a flowered sundress. So here’s an outfit I would love to own, inspired by the warmth of summer. I particularly love the shoes. They take down the girliness a notch, making the outfit that much cooler.

A little more about us
Demoni and I have been sharing clothes for awhile now. Until we heard about ObviLux, we simply posted the links on each other’s Facebook walls. It’d only take one glance at our ObviLux pages to understand that it often clogged up our friends’ newsfeeds and drove some of them CRAZY—especially our guy friends (love you!). Some aspects even bothered us; links were quickly lost...

Not just jewelry
Lately I’ve been intrigued by statement jewelry. There’s something very attractive about someone with the confidence to wear something outrageous. These two necklaces (both from nOir) are at the top of my wish list right now.
Either of these worn with a solid romper and a pair of bright heels or strappy sandals would be absolutely fabulous.
